Will you be involved with the planning of my event?
Yes….if you want me to be. A DJ should do far more than just play music and a Videographer should do more than just capture your event. I can make myself available to you prior to your function for rehearsals or face to face meetings. This way, an itinerary can be prepared before the function. This will allow me to focus on the itinerary of your function while you relax and enjoy it.

As the DJ/MC, will you host the event and/or interact with my guests?
I am always prepared to handle any announcements and special events throughout your event. Based on what we agree upon, you’ll be able to decide exactly how interactive my service will be before the event takes place.

How can I be sure you will play music I want to hear?
If you were specific in your music “genre”, and/or listing specific songs/artists,
you’ve covered yourself greatly. It might be of interest for you to ask some of your
guests what they would like as well. For the times when I am choosing the music,
I use my own good sense in combination with your specified genres in order to properly read the crowd.
My music collection is on CD's and Records. It is indexed electronically for efficiently locating songs. The entire collection consists of thousands of albums and continues to grow. In fact, any time a customer requests something I don't currently own, I purchase it for future use.

Will you bring backup equipment to my event?

Though it is very rare for a piece of equipment to fail me at an event, I always have a backup.

Why do you charge so much, (or so little)?
Most Events (Weddings, Concerts, Birthday Parties etc.) consist of 3 main sections for me. All 3 sections are taken into account when deciding on the amount I charge.

1) Pre-Production
There is much more to what I do than what is seen at the actual event, and all of it takes time.
Time to ensure: that my equipment is in excellent shape by testing it just for the specific event, preparing various itineraries/timelines/planning forms, consultations, research, etc. This phase is where a lot of time is spent as a DJ/MC, and not so much time as a Videographer.

2) The Production or "Event"
After all of the "Pre-Production" is done comes the actual event or "Production", which some may think is all they are paying for. However it is important to remember that I put in a lot of time prior to the event/after the event as well.

3) Post-Production
With DJing and acting as an MC there isn't much to be done once the event is over, but with videography there is a great deal of editing "Post-Production" to be done before delivering the final product.

For those who find my rate(s) to be low, I'm glad. That means I'm available to a larger group of people.

For those who find my rate(s) to be high, I hope my explanation has added some clarity as to why my costs are so.

Check around… you might be surprised at how reasonable and straight forward I am.

Do you use a written contract?
Yes. my contract protects both myself and you the customer.

How will you dress, appear etc.?
Typically, I wear black and white formal wear.
If you have a theme going (i.e.: Hawaiian), I can dress accordingly.
Regardless, I always dress to represent my company in a professional manner.
There is never any smoking or drinking and I always arrive at the time agreed upon.

What makes you such a great Videographer & DJ?
It is important to find someone who enjoys his/her work; someone who wants to make sure everyone has a great time, and that would be me.

I know how to read a crowd, and my knowledge base of musical artists and styles is diverse enough to appease most musical tastes. In addition, I always perform my service with a friendly, outgoing, positive attitude. I love to see people smiling and enjoying the music I play.

In addition to my extensive knowledge of music, DJing, and audio production, I have also studied film, photojournalism, and visual design in college/technical school; and I truly enjoy capturing special moments for others. I have edited films for documentaries, shot video for fashion companies, produced graphics and special effects for various video projects, and I enjoy all of it.
